Description
This is a historically significant board in the history of Australian Surfboards.
shaped by Roger ‘Duck’ Kieran and is a knock out fin model. I believe that this is the first Australian board to have a removable fin, the reasoning was that the saltwater would swell the timber fin to lock it into the finbox.(fin on this board is not the original fin). I still have to do a little more research but it is thought to be one of only 4 made. I’m pretty sure I know where all 4 are, so can piece together more of the story when I get around to it.
It is glassed with ‘Travenar16 oz glass and while looks heavy, it is actually deceptively light.
Roger was renowned for shaping Balsa boards and not many people would be aware that he shaped a few in foam.
