Crystal Dreams Surfboard, 70’s style

These photos are from prior to glassing, so will supply more shortly.
This board is very reminiscent of an early 70’s single fin gun.
I had been out of the water for some time with injury and then attitude problems. Being in my 50’s and middle to high 90’s kg, I needed a board that was easy paddle and would allow me to catch waves.
It’s mission was ‘to catch waves and I didn’t care if I couldn’t turn it.’
8’6″x 21″1/4x 3″1/4, with a very flat rocker, concave and a pair of channels, this board is very quick. And while it is never going to be classed as a performer, with the speed it generates it turns really nicely. THe steeper the wave the better.
